Miss A | 50 & Fabulous
Lovely A, We met at a networking event aaaages ago... the food was kind of terrible, but the company was great. We talked about your work as a Rodan + Fields consultant and mine as a photographer. You mentioned enthusiastically that you had done a photoshoot years ago, and you had wanted to do it again. I wanted you to book then and there, but I had to be patient. After all, you're GORGEOUS and just about as sweet as can be. Patience is not my strong suit (see this post here).
When I put out the model call for "50 and Fabulous," you answered, even though you aren't quite there yet. Although you don't do much to represent that demographic because you have the body of a 22 year old and the skin of a 30 year old. But who am I to argue with the opportunity to photograph such a lovely woman?
When we could finally make our calendars align, I was so excited. One thing I especially loved is that you told your husband and that I think he was excited enough for the two of us. He did everything from wardrobe advice to helping you see how beautiful you looked in your photos. I'm glad we got a couple of special ones with him in mind. Husbands deserve to be spoiled, too. Maybe you can drop some hints during the next Agent Provocateur sale, because that corset was pretty freaking stunning on you.
Your gentle nature led to a sensuality that was peaceful and sweet, but sexy all-the-same. Although I think our last set in the corset brought out a bit of daring in you. But who wouldn't when they look like that?
Thank you so much for modeling for me. I hope that you and Mr. K enjoy your folio box.

Miss E | Hot Mama
Dear E, It was fate... a tiny little vendor fair. Like ten people attended... but you did! You had your beautiful daughter with you. I'm not so great at those kinds of events. One time a young woman in South Georgia went running (literally running) away when she saw what I offer, and I think that traumatized me a bit. So I quietly showed you my samples and I crossed my fingers. You mentioned your long-distance relationship, and that you'd been toying with the idea of a boudoir shoot for him.
For him... ha. That's how it all starts. Then it turns into this experience of being pampered, taking care of yourself. You're a single mom, who works and goes to school. So basically, you have about .2 seconds to yourself on any given day.
You were so amazing at showing your sensual side. You have any almost feline quality to your confidence. It just pours from your photos. I loved creating the too-hot-for-the-blog shower shots. Whew!
I know you said your guy was thrilled (duh!), but what I'm most excited about is your own folio box. A box of gorgeous photos to remind yourself that you're worth it.
I cannot wait to photograph you again. It was such an honor for you to spend your hard-earned money with me. I think you'll treasure these photos for a lifetime... oh and he will too.

Miss L - Tallahassee, Florida
I love it when good clients recommend a friend. L and I have been trying to work out a shoot, but we could never coordinate schedules. She lived in South Florida and I never visited the area at a good time. So when she moved up north to the Tallahassee area, we got it together! I could not be happier that we did. Full disclosure: I was sooo nervous before her shoot. She had worked with other photographers before and had both good and not-so-good experiences. I wanted to make sure this was her best experience yet and that her pictures were flawless. She invested in a deluxe shoot which means 2 different makeup looks and 6 wardrobe changes. Go big or go home, right???
We started with a hollywood glamour look and draped her in our red satin sheets and our diamante necklace. Then we decked her out in the studio's Agent Provocateur classic black satin corset and set up a glittering backdrop to catch the light from our super awesome utility lights from Lowe's.
Next Adeana took her to a more contemporary glamour style with her makeup and berry tinted lips. That's when we saw it! She is a dead ringer for Scarlett Johansson. After taking a few dark and mysterious portraits, I took that idea and ran with it. I couldn't resist playing with some pink tulle, mixing it up with a black plunging teddy and then stripping her down in front of the brick wall because she told me how she just loves texture in photographs.
L, you were such a pleasure to photograph. You are so gorgeous and funny. That's a rare combination. Thank you for allowing me to share your beautiful pictures.

Wear This... Not That for Your Boudoir Session
Shopping for your boudoir shoot is entirely different than shopping for your private boudoir. Just because he LOVES it or it's popular, does not mean it will translate to classy, flattering photos. Here's a guide to finding an alternative to common mistakes that I see at almost every session. What not to wear for your boudoir.
Miss C | Brand New Mom
I'm going to let C's words speak for me... "Before my shoot I was nervous to say the least. At first I was as excited as one can be but as the shoot day drew closer I was second guessing my decision to go ahead with it. I thought of all the negatives about my body and how they would photograph, I was sure I would be disappointed in the way I looked and feel worse about myself. After having my first child my self-esteem took a big hit, this was a way to boost it back up again.
I sat in the makeup chair feeling like a tired new mother with maybe 2 hours of sleep, I got out of that chair feeling like a goddess.
[During the shoot I felt] comfortable and confident, which is saying a lot considering how little I was wearing! Leslie exudes an aura of confidence in what she does and it's contagious. From my very first pose I knew that I would look beautiful in the photos with her direction.
Stunning does not do my photos justice. They were sexy, classy and all I could have ever hoped for!"
C, I could not agree more. You are an absolutely beautiful woman.

Miss L - Lavish Boudoir
Miss L and I met way back when my studio was being built. She's the kind of woman you love to sit and chat with. She has this amazing group of friends and shares all of the shenanigans they get into. As women grow up, friends lose that girlish fun that they have in their high school and college days... the inside jokes, wardrobe consults, nights spent NOT talking about kids or husbands. I've had the privilege of photographing this beautiful woman three times now, and I always leave my time with her feeling like I've spent a day hanging out with a friend and not working. L, it's a pleasure to know you and an honor to photograph you. P.S. Don't you LOVE her red hair?!
"I was extremely nervous. I am my own worst critic, but Leslie and Adeana made me feel completely at ease. They are a great team and lots of fun. Love love love most of [the photos]! I have told all of my friends." - Miss L
