The dream tutu
When I asked Miss K to come in and test some new ideas for the studio, the wardrobe we picked was your standard ideas. Lots of black. A cheeky t-shirt. Fabulous boots.
But after sifting through her bag, I found a small tulle skirt and thought to pair it with her pretty burgandy bralette. A few shots in, my wheels started turning and I remembered my gorgeous ombre tulle skirt from the mother-daughter shoot.
Presenting arms full of tulle, she giggled and said, “Oh my god! My dream tutu.”

Sister Beauty Shoot - Lavish Boudoir
"She's my sister. Break her heart and I'll break your face." - Unknown Okay, I was going to post a syrupy sweet quote about sisters, but this is a little more accurate. These are some seriously feisty girls. Adeana and I like to keep things running smoothly; we have a system that works. And then you get girls like these. Ha! Enthusiastic, sarcastic, energetic and a tad wild do not even begin to describe these girls. They're the type of girl to sign the other up for a reality show without telling her. I finally had to separate them in order to get more than just laughing expressions. Each is so beautiful and they love each other like crazy. What a blessing it is to be a sister and to have one.

Miss L - Lavish Boudoir®
I adore this young woman. She is such a sweetheart and we had so much fun. Adeana not only rocked the makeup, but stuck around to assist me on my shoot by holding reflectors (yes, it is about twice her height) and to "hang" the bed canopy. The three of us could not stop laughing as we were shooting, but this girl managed to keep her face sultry and sexy between giggles. I was seriously impressed. Thank you, L, for trusting me even when you thought that a shot couldn't possibly turn out well. Guess what... they did!
Happy Mother's Day!
This is my first Mother's Day as a mom... even if I'm still little more than an incubator. But it made me think about how every woman should be celebrated in some special way this day. You can be a mom in so many ways. Women are nurturers by nature... we just each choose what deserves our love and attention. Some moms love and care for four-legged creatures (and we know that they can often be as trying as the two-legged variety); some moms cuddle and kiss away the bad days for their husband or boyfriend; some moms grow a career with time, effort and dedication; some moms will fight tooth and nail so that their friends have joy in their lives. I think that being a mom is about nurturing something and watching it grow simply because you loved it. So, happy mother's day to
Jen - who spoils Franq with endless hours of fetch and tirelessly works to create a hit show on the CW
Shannon - who offers snuggles on-demand both to Smokey and her aspiring police officer
My sisters (including the in-laws)- who are raising beautiful children who I can only hope will influence Leo

My Nana - What a strong woman.. even at the young age of 91.
