Miss S - Lavish Boudoir

photo-1-2-e1370539121430.jpg

You already saw E's portraits yesterday, but here is her lovely friend S.  As I said before, I really enjoyed shooting these beautiful women.  They're both hard working, kind and clearly gorgeous. P.S. I'm obsessed with the fringe outfit.

My Turn in Front of the Camera

When you spend your time behind the camera, it's pretty freaking difficult to want to get in front of it.  I've been planning to have my own boudoir shoot done forever, but I'm just like you.  I was insecure about my post-baby body, I was nervous, and I wondered if I would like any of them.  So I decided to take the risk on myself.  No easy task.  Thankfully my makeup artist and good friend, Adeana, stepped up to help man the camera and give me a little direction.  She's never taken portraits and didn't know what she was doing except by my guidance.  You should have seen how stressful it got for us.  But she did my makeup and helped me feel like a goddess, and that helped.  A lot.  So, I wanted to share them here.  I have password protected the pictures, not because of my modesty, but because I don't want to accidentally surprise a family member or good friend who'd rather not see me in my skivvies.  Ha! Here is the link.  The password is: LOL

So, I want you to know that I know what you're going through and I hope that it's given me even better insight about how to bring out your individual beauty.  It's a privilege to photograph you, and I don't take that responsibility lightly.

R and S - Lavish Boudoir

SandR-Lavish-Boudoir_02.jpg

I had the privilege of photographing two fellow artists.  We met just this fall, but I think they are just the sweetest couple.  I couldn't wait to photograph them in contemporary portraits that I hope will stand the test of time.  R and S, thank you.  P.S.  You guys are hot!

Miss T - Glamour Portraits by Lavish Boudoir

T-Glamour-Blog-Collage-Lavish-Boudoir.jpg

I've dabbled in the genre of beauty or glamour portraiture for a couple of years.  I believe that boudoir portraiture is really only appropriate for women who are no longer teenagers, but there are also so many 18- and 19-year-olds who have outgrown their classic senior portraits.  You know what I'm talking about... the head tilt and the chin resting on your hand, or spot color highlighting a pom pom or musical instrument?  There's an amazing time in a young woman's life when she's figuring out who she is as an adult, an independent young woman.  She's beautiful, she's energetic, she's smart and she's becoming a woman who has the world at her feet.  I'm offering glamour portraits for these women (and those who just like to get dolled up in a frothy dress or trendy outfit regardless of age).  I hope you love these portraits as much as I do.
