Jessica & Jacey - Mother & Daughter's Day Out Photoshoot

I met Jessica months ago at Femfessionals' Fems' Night Out. She was frantically trying to get the crew to assemble the pipe and drape before the doors opened, but she did everything with a smile. She came by my booth, browsed my work, said hello and dashed off to get something else in line. As the event was wrapping up, her little girl Jacey was loving the freedom to play in the open ballroom. From that night, I had the idea that they would be perfect for a mother-daughter photoshoot. In March, Kate of Tyler Brooke Photography and I sat down at Starbucks to work out our collaboration. I envisioned a flowing tulle skirt for mom, a giggling little girl in a pretty dress and photos that will last in their family for generations. She has the kid-whispering skills to take care of a little girl while I can bring out the best in Mom.

We knew that Jessica & Jacey would be perfect. Looking at the back of the camera, I was nearly in tears because this was exactly what I envisioned all those months ago.

It was such a joy to show each of these ladies just how special they are.

We will have a booth supporting the Ronald McDonald House's Girls' Night Out this April 28th!

Miss S | Bridal Boudoir

I've been going through my clients' files and came across this gorgeous photoshoot from a couple of years ago. I cannot believe that I haven't posted it already. Miss S came in for a shoot as a groom's gift and whew she rocked it. She listed to my coaching and spanned the emotional range from vulnerable, to flirtatious, to confident, to longing. Thank you, S, for being such an incredible woman to work with!

My mother-daughter Glamour Shot!

My 90s Glamour Shot with Mom

If you're a child of the 80s or 90s, then chances are you've sat in a mall, had piles of makeup applied, your hair sprayed to unnatural heights and then posed with a sequin jacket. That pretty much sums up my 90s glamour shot with mom.

My mom and I had these photos taken in 1993 and even though they're clearly dated (hello sailor collars), we both love them because we remember the day together.

We laughed, she felt pretty, I felt special and then with our overly-rouged cheeks pressed together, we posed for a photo that we still love more than two decades later.

Miss A | Maternity Boudoir

Miss A is one of the most radiant pregnant mamas. She's a trainer, so it's not a surprise that she stayed super fit. In fact, we had to push her belly to its fullest even though she was pregnant with TWINS! Yup, that tiny belly is 30 weeks along with twins and this isn't her first pregnancy. Don't we all wish we could be so radiant? I wanted something that celebrates her unique and vibrant personality. She brought in some fantastic wardrobe options, and of course I had to photograph her on the bed set, inspired by Christina Aguilera's pregnancy photos.
